In about 15 years of activity Tetraktis follows a course that been origined in the contemporary music of classical derivation but that meet a lot of others languages too, as old popular music, jazz and pop. The main artistic choice that lead the group is the will to use its proper knowledge of musical instruments (the richest of all instruments’s family) without building a block of any type, but searching the most various and unusual matches.
Tetraktis percussions started to perform in Italy in 1993, proving to be one the line-up of chamber music for percussions to have a constant activity and a continuos growth.
They performeed for the following associations:
“Amici della Musica di Perugia”,
“Amici della Musica di Palermo”,
“Lingotto Musica di Torino”
and in the sphere of festivals and events as :
“Salone della Musica” di Torino,
“Festival dei Due Mondi di Spoleto”,
“Estate Musicale a Portogruaro”,
“Perugia Classico”,
“Incontri Internazionali di Musica Contemporanea di Iesi”,
"L’Ombelico del Mondo”,
“Incontri Musicali” at the National Gallery of modern arts of Rome.
They also performed concerts and masterclasses in Germany, USA, Nigeria and Turkey.
Toke part, playing live, in radio programmes as "La stanza della musica" of RAI Radiotre and “New Sounds” for the WNYC radio.
Recorded for PH Music Worx, Universal Music Publishing Ricordi and Giotto Music.
The group boast different featurings with solo singers of different musical areas as Micrologus, David Brutti, Stefano "Cocco" Cantini, Ramberto Ciammarughi, Jovanotti; and with dance company (Moto Armonico, Kataklò) and theatre company (ATMO,Bruno De Franceschi, Maurizio Smith).
